Copyright Policy
Last updated 20 June 2026
CarJio respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains your responsibilities when uploading content and how rights holders can report infringement.
Your responsibilities
When you upload photos, videos, text or any other content to CarJio, you confirm that you own that content or have the right to use it, and you grant CarJio a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the marketplace. Do not upload images, video or text that belong to someone else — including manufacturer press photos, other sellers’ listing photos, or images taken from other websites.
Trademarks
Vehicle brand and model names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used on CarJio only to identify the vehicles being sold (nominative use). CarJio is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer. We do not display manufacturers’ official logos.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on CarJio infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@carjio.com including:
- Your name, organisation and contact details.
- A description of the copyrighted work and a link to where it appears on CarJio (the listing URL).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of applicable law, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
On receiving a valid notice we will review it promptly, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content where appropriate, and notify the user who uploaded it. We may reinstate content if the uploader provides a valid counter-notice establishing their right to use it. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may be suspended or terminated.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of the removed content and a statement of your good-faith belief that it was removed in error.
