Takedown Policy
Last updated 20 June 2026
This policy explains how to report content on CarJio that is illegal, infringing, fraudulent or unsafe, and how we review and act on those reports. It is designed to meet the expectations of an intermediary operating in India and to be workable for users worldwide.
What you can report
- Listings that are fraudulent, misleading or for stolen vehicles.
- Photos, videos or text that are inappropriate, unsafe, or that you believe infringe your rights.
- Spam, duplicate listings or off-platform solicitation.
- Any content that breaches our Content Policy or Terms of Service.
How to submit a request
Email trust@carjio.com with:
- The listing URL or a precise description of the content.
- The reason for your request and which policy or law it breaches.
- Your name and contact details so we can follow up.
- For copyright specifically, follow the steps in our Copyright Policy.
How we review requests
We acknowledge valid reports and review them as quickly as we reasonably can, prioritising content that is unsafe or illegal. Reports feed our existing moderation queue, where a member of our team assesses the content. Automated checks may flag and temporarily hide media, but a human always makes the final decision. Depending on the outcome we may leave the content up, hide individual media, suspend or remove the listing, or suspend the account. Every action is recorded in our internal audit trail for accountability.
Acting in good faith
Please report only genuine concerns. Knowingly false or abusive reports waste reviewer time and may themselves breach our Terms. We may decline requests that are incomplete, clearly unfounded or repetitive.
Law-enforcement and legal requests
Verified requests from law enforcement or court orders should be sent to legal@carjio.com. We respond to lawful requests in line with applicable Indian law.
